The Newest ASUS VivoBook Laptop

Ordinary laptops won’t last you very long before they slow down and die, but the newest ASUS VivoBook laptop has some incredible features that keep it running better than ever even after years of use. With an AMD Ryzen 3 3250U processor and 8GB of RAM, your computer will have no problem handling multiple apps at once or streaming videos while you work on different tasks at the same time. And the 128GB SSD makes sure that the computer boots up and runs smoothly without any bloatware slowing you down or using up valuable space on your hard drive.

Introduction

The ASUS VivoBook is a line of portable laptops created by ASUSTeK Computer Inc. The Vivobook name first appeared in 2015 when it was used for two different lines of computer systems and related accessories. The original Vivobook line consisted of three notebook PCs in 13, 15, and 17-inch screen sizes with various configurations options, while the Vivbook Pro was designed as a 2-in-1 convertible laptop with multiple screen sizes and processor options.

Specifications

The all-new 15.6 Full HD non-touch display with an ultra-narrow bezel makes it perfect for multi-tasking, even if you have to switch between full-screen apps frequently. Powered by AMD RyzenTM 3 3250U processor, 8GB DDR4 RAM (upgradable to 16GB), 128GB solid-state drive, 1TB hard disk and integrated AMD RadeonTM Vega 3 graphics card enables you to breeze through your daily computing tasks.

Design

The newest addition to Asus’ VivoBook lineup is a sleek laptop that’s thin, lightweight, and perfect for work or play. The Asus VivoBook E15 features an all-metal brushed chassis with thin bezels around its 15.6-inch Full HD display.

Screen

The 15.6 Full HD screen is bright, colorful, and highly responsive to touch. The 1920 x 1080 resolution lets you watch your favorite movies in stunning clarity.

Performance

Intel® CoreTM i5-8250U processor with a base frequency of 1.6 GHz and a burst frequency of up to 3.4 GHz provides increased performance over previous generations. The processor uses low voltage (15W) to extend battery life and improve power efficiency, while four cores allow efficient multitasking between different applications or multiple tasks in one go. The powerful combination results in an exceptionally responsive laptop that runs programs faster than ever before, with minimal lag time waiting for larger tasks to be completed.

Software

The AMD Ryzen 3 3250U has eight CPU cores, and though four of them are disabled in low-power environments to extend battery life, performance is still pretty good. In our tests with Cinebench R15 (which loops through various rendering tasks), it hit 535 points—the same as a Core i5 processor but not quite as fast as Intel’s latest.

Verdict

The newest laptop from Asus is one of their fastest and sleekest to date. While it’s not perfect, with a couple of small flaws that most people wouldn’t notice, it’s a great buy for those who want an inexpensive gaming computer with solid video performance and battery life. It doesn’t hurt that it looks fantastic, either. If you don’t need hardcore gaming features or a high-end display, it might be worth taking a look at.
