The Pros of the HP 15

With great specs and an affordable price tag (the base model is $699.99), it’s hard to find many downsides to consider before buying. The Intel Core i5 processor is powerful enough for almost any task you can throw at it; 8 GB of RAM means you won’t have to worry about your laptop slowing down if you keep a few hundred tabs open in your browser; and 256 GB of SSD storage ensures fast boot times (as well as making files and programs load more quickly). The graphics card should be sufficient for most PC games, but it won’t be able to run demanding titles like Apex Legends or Battlefield V on high settings with its integrated display.

The Cons of the HP 15

The last iteration of HP’s Pavilion laptop released in 2016 was considered a hit. The new version is almost exactly like that one, with a few minor upgrades. It’s still powered by an Intel i5 processor (with an 11th generation update), has 8GB of RAM and 256GB SSD drive.

Why Buy an HP?

The 11th generation intel Core i5 processor is a huge step up from its 10th generation predecessor. And like all other processors of its caliber, it’s also very energy efficient. In fact, some models have an impressive 9 hours of battery life – more than enough to get you through even your longest days on set.

Do I Need an External Hard Drive?

Although there are many benefits to an external hard drive (portability and safety, to name a few), they’re also costly. If you don’t store sensitive information on your computer or use it for professional purposes, you may not need an external hard drive.

First Impression

You may be looking for a new laptop that offers high performance but doesn’t break your budget. If so, you might want to consider investing in an HP notebook. The company recently introduced a new line of its popular laptops with some welcome upgrades. An 11th generation Intel Core i5 processor powers all of these computers along with 8 GB of memory and 256 GB solid state drives that make them faster than ever before.

How Well Does it Run?

This laptop boasts top-notch performance, with an Intel Core i5 1.2GHz processor and 8GB of RAM. The backlit keyboard ensures that you’ll be able to see what you’re typing even in dimly lit conditions. The 256GB SSD storage means that your laptop is fast as well as stable, perfect for heavy users who like to store large files on their computer without having to worry about running out of space. Overall, we give it a 10/10 rating.

Heat and Fan Noise

While watching a movie or playing a game on your laptop, you’ll notice that it can get hot and noisy. For most people, heat won’t be an issue. But if you’re using your laptop to do some serious gaming or other CPU heavy tasks like video editing while simultaneously charging up multiple devices, then having additional cooling capabilities might come in handy.

Design and Size

The HP 15 is as thin and light as you’d expect a modern laptop to be. It weighs 3.72 pounds (1.68 kg) and measures in at 0.8 inches (21 mm) thick—which is right in line with most other large laptops today. Its dimensions are 14.3 x 9.3 x 0.8 inches (36 x 23 x 21 mm). That makes it about an inch wider than its predecessor, but also about half an inch thinner overall, which makes it a bit easier to carry around or slip into your bag on a daily basis. To make up for that lost width, though, HP has made room for two full-size USB ports along one side of the laptop; there are only two USB Type-C ports on board instead of three like on some competing models from Dell and Apple . If you're still using older peripherals or devices that don't have USB Type-C connections yet, it might be worth considering something else if portability is your top priority...
